BAKING TIME:
PREHEAT OVEN TO 350F degrees
Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes or until cheese is golden.

SERVES:
Serves 6-8 people

INGREDIENTS:
1 medium onion, chopped
1 pound cherry tomatoes
1 can crushed green chilies
1 package taco seasoning
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
1 large bag Doritoes
1 1/2 pounds monterey jack cheese, grated
1/2 pound cheddar cheese, grated
1-16 ounce container sour cream

DIRECTIONS:
Spray large skillet with non-stick spray and brown onions until golden.
Add washed whole cherry tomatoes to onions and cook until they dissolve into a sauce.
Add chopped green chilies, taco seasoning and seasoning salt to sauce and cook until heated through.
Remove from heat.
Spray 9x13 deep baking dish with non-stick spray.
Place a layer of Doritoes on the bottom of baking dish.
Cover with a layer of sauce
Top with a layer of Monterey Jack cheese.
Repeat with another layer of Doritoes, sauce and then cheese.
Top with Doritoes and remaining Monterey Jack cheese.
Then top with sour cream and follow with cheddar cheese for the final layer.

Serve with any mexican or south western dish or as a main dish.

This is one of Rob's recipes, in fact it is Rob's only recipe! We get requests for this wherever we take it and Rob has become quite famous for it among our friends. The recipe came from my aunt Gretchen (the late Alice Margaret Engelbach).
